I’m Susan Buckley, a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in San Diego - here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters. I truly care about my clients’ well-being and provide top of the line counseling and psychological services catered to their needs.

When beginning counseling, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with your therapist. With that in mind, here is some background information so that you can know a little more about me. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I completed graduate school in 2010 with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I have worked with many different units of treatment, including couples, children, adults, and families. My current area of focus is on individual adults, teens, and adolescents.

COMMON QUERIES
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
I offer 60-minute sessions at a rate of $150. I accept cash, credit cards, and checks.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
At this time I am not on any insurance panels. Some PPO plans reimburse a certain percentage for out-of-network providers. If this is the case, I am able to generate what we call a superbill that provides the appropriate diagnostic and CPT codes, that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
DO YOU OFFER VIRTUAL SESSIONS?
Yes. In the interest of keeping everyone as safe and as comfortable as possible, I have been holding the majority of my sessions on a virtual platform. As life begins to return to "normal," I will begin to transition back to in-person sessions, but I will always keep the option of virtual sessions open.
